FIGMENT is a free participatory arts event that celebrates creativity by challenging artists and participants to find new ways to create, share, and dream.
FIGMENT is a forum for the creation and display of participatory and interactive art. FIGMENT began in July 2007 as a free, one-day participatory arts event on Governors Island in New York Harbor with more than 2,600 participants. Since then, FIGMENT has hosted projects, fundraisers and exhibitions.
FIGMENT is run 100% by volunteers. It is a gift to the city, to the community and to you. We rely on commitment and participation from volunteers, participants, artists and gift-givers of all sorts. We couldn't do this without you.
